Men’s Spaceflight Chronograph

1.               Everyone should be excited to own this watch because it's one of only 3 "Collectable Space Watches” made by, first Omega, then Fortis, and now, Fiyta.

2.               A very nice looking watch. Not just an aviation watch but a ‘Spaceflight Chronograph’.

3.               The dial is quite bold and easy to read. Big white hour markings on a deep black dial, in combination with white stick hands provide excellent readability. The hands and hour markers are luminescent at night. The subsidiary dials are for regular seconds, 24 hours and 60 stopwatch minutes. The big red chronograph second hand is very sharp

4.               It has a snap back Hard Steel case, 41 mm wide and 45 mm long, and you can tell that Fiyta had a close look at a Speedmaster before designing it. On the back we find the Shenzhou logo, and the date of the launch. It also reads "souvenir for China first manned Spaceflight" in English and in Chinese "in commemoration of China's first manned Spaceflight." It also has the individual serial number. It is possible that there were only 1,000 of these watches made because there are only 4 digits to the number. These markings are all embossed right into the metal. Water Resistant to 165 ft.

5.               This is a real showpiece watch.
I expected to find a Chinese movement in this watch. Not so. The heart of this Chinese watch is distinctly Japanese. The Miyota FS00 quartz movement is space qualified, and has survived a real Spaceflight.
The movement is a quartz controlled chronograph with date at 4:00. You can stop and reset the chronograph with one push on the reset button. The movement is made in such a way that the pushers deliver the 'click' once. The 'click' then moves to the other pusher. If you push one after the other, you'll get a click every time. If however you push the same button twice, it goes to silent mode. The pushers are very big, kind of mushroom shaped. The crown and winder is nicely sized, has serrated grips and is Fiyta signed. They are easy to operate, and although a bit big, they look appropriate for the overall scale and design of the watch. There is no doubt in my mind that this movement will run accurately, and last for quit a long time, You can use any of the following silver oxide batteries to fuel this watch: SR626SW, V377, 377, SG4, AG4, SR626 or SR66.

6.               The strap is very wide and made from a soft but durable manmade material, and also lined with an embossed suede like material It has a steel buckle that is well made and durable. It is regular length, unlike the one that was worn by Yang Li Wei. His was extra long, so that he could wear it over his space suit. I like the wide strap. It looks nice, and is quit comfortable to wear. The embossing on the back of the strap duplicates that on the case back. The Fiyta name in white and Logo in Red dress each side of the strap.

7.               The crystal is harder than Mineral Glass and is probably Laboratory grown Sapphire. Very hard and scratch resistant.

8.               Ever since the Omega Speedmaster gained cult status for being the watch certified by NASA for the Apollo program, and being the first and only watch on the moon, there is great interest by collectors for any model that has been in space.

9.               Fiyta company normally does not sell their watches outside of China as far as I know. These were brought back by an International Agent from Shanghai.
